The ROMA Board of Directors is pleased to be hosting a webinar profiling the Rural Ontario Institute's (ROI) tools to help rural communities in important local planning decisions related to housing development and community well-being.

ROI is a charitable organization that delivers programs that develop strong leaders who are critical voices around opportunities and key issues facing rural and northern Ontario. ROI provides support to Ontario’s rural communities in three important ways: developing leaders, informing leaders and rural communities, and connecting rural communities, leaders and partners.

Join ROMA as ROI explores and explains its RHIS and Community Well-Being Dashboard, two important tools they have developed to support rural communities in planning and decision making.

About the ROI Tools:

Rural Housing Information System – RHIS
www.ruralontariohousing.ca
Empower your municipality’s housing initiatives with the Rural Housing Information System (RHIS), a comprehensive housing data tool designed to support housing development. This user-friendly platform provides municipalities, developers, and other housing proponents with access to vital data, including demographic trends, income levels, and housing stock. The RHIS also features rental market data, building permits, and zoned land available for development. Join us for a live demonstration and see how other municipalities are successfully using the RHIS.

Rural Community Well-Being Dashboard – RCWB
https://www.ruralontarioinstitute.ca/wellbeing
ROI invites you to discover our new Community Wellbeing Dashboard - an invaluable FREE tool for rural communities to interpret and assess wellbeing at the local level. Communities can use this tool to establish baselines, develop data-driven policies, measure progress over time, and identify communities experiencing similar issues and opportunities. The webinar will provide an overview of the dashboard development process and a thorough demonstration of the tool.
